Read a short note from Dr. Shoba Subramanian on World Wellbeing Week:

Held during the last week of June, World Wellbeing Week is an annual observance of the various dimensions of health. While it’s common to correlate wellbeing with physical fitness, World Wellbeing Week seeks to shift the focus to include emotional, social and financial health.

Now in its fourth year, World Wellbeing Week is recognised by a growing number of businesses and corporate leaders. Understandably, employee wellbeing is a key pillar for the success of any business, with this week serving as an opportunity for employers to show their appreciation for their staff while also celebrating the contributions of health and social care workers.1

The 5 Ways to Wellbeing are: Connect, Get Active, Be Mindful, Keep Learning, and Give to Others. All these activities can be integrated into your community to better protect and sustain everyone's physical and mental health. There are many different ways you can get involved this year, including online webinars to face-to-face workshops with people who may be going through the same stages of life and can offer advice for the future.

At UnitedHealthcare Global, we believe in the importance of workplace wellbeing to help reduce stress, improve culture and create a positive environment where everyone can thrive. UnitedHealthcare Global’s Optum My Wellbeing and LiveWell app and portals are a fantastic resource to help employees not only understand their health, but also develop lasting healthy habits to improve their quality of life in the workplace and at home.
